INNOCENCE & JUSTICE LOUISIANA      IN NEW YORK

You’re invited to join Innocence & Justice Louisiana for an intimate and powerful evening centered on stories of perseverance from the incarceration capital of the world. This gathering will feature firsthand stories from our clients who have survived wrongful conviction and unjust punishment, offering a rare opportunity to hear directly from those most impacted by Louisiana’s criminal legal system.

Among them is Calvin Duncan, who spent more than 28 years wrongfully incarcerated, time he spent not only fighting for his own freedom but also advocating for the freedom of others. Since his release, Calvin was recently elected to public office and is the author of The Jailhouse Lawyer, a 2025 New York Public Library Book of the Year.

This evening will take place Wednesday, March 16, 2026, from 6:00pm-8:30pm at the Classic Stage Company, 136 East 13th Street New York, NY.

Please RSVP to Erica Williams (ericaw@justicelouisiana.org) or reach out with any questions.
