Innocence & Justice Louisiana is proud to participate in GiveNOLA Day 2026, joining a powerful community day of giving. This year, IJLA has set an ambitious fundraising goal of $90,000, bolstered by a generous $37,500 matching opportunity that will amplify every dollar donated. These funds will directly support our client-centered work, from freeing the wrongfully convicted to providing reentry support that restores dignity and stability. Every contribution helps us continue standing alongside our clients as they reclaim their lives and rebuild what was taken from them.

We are deeply grateful to the supporters who helped us surpass our goal last year, demonstrating what is possible when a community rallies around justice. Early giving for GiveNOLA Day begins April 28, giving supporters a head start to make their impact, with the official day of giving taking place on May 5. We invite our community to show up once again in support of our clients, whose resilience and courage drive our mission forward every day.

Please join us for our GiveNOLA Day Block Party for Justice on May 5, 2026, hosted in partnership with The Domino Lounge from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Enjoy an evening of community and connection with beans by Luci Beans, fresh oysters by Oysters Dandy, and music by DJ Messy. We invite you to come out, bring a friend, and support justice in action.

We’ve made it easy to share your support and encourage your network to give!

Inside our digital toolkit are downloadable graphics and ample captions you can use when posting about your donation. Feel free to copy and paste or personalize them to reflect your own voice and why this cause matters to you. Whether you’re posting on social media, texting a friend, or emailing your network, these captions and graphics help you share your support and invite others to join you in giving.

GiveNOLA Day, hosted by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, is a 24-hour online giving event that brings the community together to support hundreds of local nonprofit organizations across Southeast Louisiana. Through a centralized platform, donors can contribute to causes they care about, with every gift helping strengthen the region and expand the impact of nonprofit work. The day is designed to inspire collective generosity, often enhanced by matching funds, prizes, and bonus “lagniappe” dollars that increase the value of each donation. Since its launch, GiveNOLA Day has raised tens of millions of dollars, demonstrating the power of community-driven philanthropy to create a more vibrant, equitable, and resilient region.
